FAQ

Your Questions, Answered

What are the best times of year to visit?

PEAK SEASON in Kenya is from 1st July to 31st October & Christmas/New Year. This is where the prices at all the lodges, vehicle/driver hire and travel in general are at the very highest.

Generally, LOW SEASON is from 1st April - 30th June (although high season in the Mara and in some other locations start mid-June). We choose to run our Rhino Cup cricket event around mid/late June every year as we get the best combination of prices and weather around this time in Kenya for all our safari's and tours.

Other times of year are SHOULDER/HIGH season, prices are lower than peak season.

RAINY SEASONS (TO AVOID)Although the rains slightly vary year to year, generally they come between late March and early/stroke mid-May & between late October and early December. Its best to avoid travel during the rainy seasons as its more difficult to see wildlife, you'll spend half your time stuck in mud and generally there is less sunshine/happiness! :)

What is included?

All accommodation, most meals, safari guides, cricket match costs, transport and transfers.

Are my flights included?

No. However we are happy to recommend which flights are most convenient for your tour.

Do I need vaccinations?

Ask your doctor about vaccinations. You may be asked for a yellow fever certificate at the airport if you are arriving from a yellow fever country so definitely bring your yellow fever vaccination certificate with you if you have one.

Do I need travel insurance?

We highly recommend you take out travel insurance before your departure.

What are my Visa Requirements?

Visitors in to Kenya require an Electronic Travel Authorization in order to enter in to the country.
